Specifically, IFTTT uses a number of applets connecting multiple services, such as intelligent home apps and websites to perform automated activities (a certain event connected to a device triggers another device). - download the app;
- create a free account;
- select the services you want to connect;

IFTTT connections example scenarios:
- IF the outside temperature (according to Weather Underground) reaches 30° in a hot day AND this happens between 11 AM and 6 PM, THEN the roller shutters will automatically lower by 75%.
- IF the outside temperature (according to Weather Underground) reaches -10°AND this happens between 9 PM and 6 AM, THEN all the roller shutters in the house (except the bedroom ones) will be automatically lowered by 100%.
- IF your phone connects to your home’s Wi-Fi, THEN the living roller shutters will automatically raise to 25%.
- IF your phone’s GPS position indicates that you’ve entered the house area, THEN only the living roller shutters will raise to 25%.
